Improving water security for the poor
Building capacity for climate resilience
National policy makers and sub-national practitioners are at the forefront of improving climate resilience. However, there are multiple barriers compromising their ability to deliver change – from accessing meaningful data and information, to understanding and using it, and developing policies despite the uncertainty in future projections.
Our research continues to advance understanding of regional climate and climate change, working closely with stakeholders across a range of scales, from small urban utilities to national governments.
At a local level, we are collaborating with water managers, such as Basin Development Offices, and water utilities, helping them to embed climate resilience in their planning, individually and through collaboration across sectors.
At the global level, this work will also be used to inform our partners, UNICEF and WHO, on barriers and opportunities for capacity development in climate resilience.
