Johanna examines institutional and financial developments in water service provision in Sub-Saharan Africa. She has contributed to the development of a novel and scalable professionalised rural water maintenance service delivery model that is currently operating in Kenya and forms part of the REACH observatory ‘Building water secure institutions’ in Kitui County.
