Jemal Mohammed Adem is a development economist and researcher from Ethiopia. His research primarily concentrates on human development, encompassing education, health, nutrition, child development, gender equality, and innovation. From June 2021 to December 2023, he served as a social science postdoctoral fellow at REACH-Ethiopia. During this time, his main responsibilities included designing and managing the REACH-Wiser survey in Ethiopia. Jemal holds a PhD in development economics from UNU-MERIT, Maastricht University, the Netherlands. He has extensive experience in teaching economics and managing large-scale research projects
